Requirements or Prerequisites
No formal prerequisites are required for this course. However, students should have a basic command of the English language and a strong interest in pursuing a nursing career and achieving excellence in the TEAS exam.
Outcomes
Improving Reading Comprehension: Students will develop effective reading strategies to comprehend complex passages and interpret information relevant to nursing practice. Emphasis will be placed on analyzing medical texts and research articles.
Enhancing Grammar and Language Usage: Participants will strengthen their grammar skills, including sentence structure, verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and pronoun usage, to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal interactions.
Expanding Healthcare Vocabulary: The course will introduce medical terminology and healthcare-specific vocabulary, enabling students to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and medical professionals.
Developing Effective Writing Skills: Students will learn to compose well-structured essays and reports, emphasizing clarity, coherence, and organization. Special attention will be given to writing medical reports and patient care documentation.
